Tick Awareness and 4DX testing

In case you have not seen any, this is a reminder that ticks are active! Now and all year long on any day that the temperature is 4 degrees C or higher. We strongly suggest that all dogs get vaccinated for Lyme and that all pets and people do daily tick checks and dogs and cats that go outdoors are on one of the preventive products. We have a selection of products available for flea and tick control. There are a couple that are OTC and there are several that are prescription products. For the prescription products we have to check each pet's file to make sure ther has been an exam at least once within the last year with a veterinarian and make sure we have an accurate weight in kg on file so that the correct size is dispensed. This can take a few miniutes to look up so it is appreciated if you could send requests for products by email and then we can let you know when your items are ready for pick up! Also, it is reccomended that a 4 DX test is done on all dogs with their annual exam . We also ask about this if they are coming in for surgery. We have had many dogs testing positive for one or more of the tick bourne diseases.
